Time slows down at The Sunset Place in Clearlake Oaks, California. The days follow no schedule but your own, filled with lakeside fun, easy mornings and even easier afternoons. Surrounded by family and friends, there's nowhere else you would rather be.
The whole family stays together here, whether you're splashing in the pool on a warm afternoon or casting a line off the dock when the weather turns cool, with the kayak and pedal boats ready to launch whenever the mood strikes and electrical hookups standing by to keep the boat batteries topped off overnight. When the sun starts to dip, everyone gathers around the propane fire pit to dine lakeside and soak in the panoramic sunset views the house was named after. This stretch of Clear Lake was voted the #1 Bass Lake in America by Bassmaster in 2025, so rods stay rigged and ready from the first morning to the last, any time of year.
Inside, the open-concept layout gathers everyone around a kitchen island with lake views and a dining table for six, while newer furnishings and a sofa bed plus a queen air mattress stretch the sleeping count to ten. Rainy afternoons and post-swim downtime move to the garage game room, stocked with ping pong, arcade games and a Wii console. A fully fenced side yard (no grass) keeps the family dog safe to roam, and self check-in means your lake week can start the moment you pull in.
